Port Townsend

The Olympic Peninsula-what a great little place! We drove through Port Townsend-a quite, slow little town. There are forests, fields, and the peaceful water (Hood Canal). We enjoyed the restaraunts and small-town stores:)

Fort Worden State Park is located at the tip of the peninsula. It is over 400acres and just beautiful. This military facility once guarded inland waterways.

There are some great architectural sites in this historic park-bunkers and gun emplacements.

This is where Officer and a Getnleman was filmed

The beach was great...sound of the waves, wind blowing our hair, smell of the sea water, ahhh. We came upon an interesting find on the beach--the girls enjoyed it:)

We took the time to shoot some family photos-since it was beautiful and we were all together!

Point Wilson Lighthouse

Overall, we had a great time and enjoyed our family time and the weather:)

Hurricane Ridge

We took a day trip to Olympic National Park. Our goal was to see some great views of Mt Olympus and such from Hurricane Ridge. The drive was a 2+ hour scenic drive that we enjoyed. The Ridge was dissapointing though---so much fog:( Definitely not the best weather for viewing Mt Olympus and the glaciers. There was so much fog. It was a complete white out! We turned around at mile marker 14. However, we were able to get some pics of the scenery -and it was beautiful!

What fun would sight seeing be if your nerves weren't tested?! David is good for that. He climbed down from the look out, through the woods, to the edge of the ridge!!!

Great example for the girls-right! They thought he was naughty but enjoyed creating echoes yelling for him!

These are views down upon Port Angeles.

Since we drove 2hours, we decided to make the best of the trip and so we went over to Pt Townsend.

Welcome our newest family members!

Yesterday was the day!
We have been speaking of goldfish for some time now, and well...we did it. We headed out to Walmart and picked up an aquarium kit, some decor, net, food, etc and 2 goldfish:)
The girls were so ecited and just watched every moment. We had to clean the tank, and the stones, plants, and fake fish. Then we had to fill it and install the filter. And then, came the waiting....the directions for the water purifying stuff say that you have to wait 24hrs for the water to stabilize before you can put the fish in!! Well, 24hrs to 2 girls was not gonna do--and if I had to hear "is it time yet" one more time, I don't know what would have happened to those poor fish...

We waited a total of 3hrs and I cracked! They each got to put their fish in and just giggled:)

The bronze fish is Faith's and she named her CARMEL-after her last beta fish. And the other is Dalaina's obviously. She named hers DRAGONFLY!
We welcomed the fish and fed them before bed and prayed that LOVEY wouldn't get them while we slept...and she didn't!!!!(lucky for her)
