AUTUMN

We had a day off and spent time together as afamily---which we enjoy:) Faith is learning about farms this week and so we decided to take a trip to one! We headed north about an hour or so to The South 47 farm. It was nothing fancy, however, we enjoyed it. The girls started by taking a trip through a bean pole maze.

Dalaina was a bit hesitant and uncertain, but breezed through it after she saw her sister do it:)

"Look mom, I'm a scarecrow!"

Faith was all about the Cinderella pumpkins:) Yes, Cinderella pumpkins! Apparently Cinderella's carriage was modeled after these pumpkins.

HUGE!!!!!!!!!!!!

The girls and David each picked their own pumpkin---knowing that they had to be able to carry it:)

Measurin' up to the sizer---no way near the sunflower heights though!

The Girls were happy because all of the animals there were girls!!
Shakin' it on the "stage" of hay!

We had great fun and are excited for fall!!!

Puyallup Fair

We headed out to the fair last weekend and had some summer fun!

Of course we had to ride the carousel. It is one of two original carousels fro way back when the engines were made in a wagon--ya know, for the traveling circus.

Circa 1917--it was great and the girls enjoyed it:)

It was quite toasty at the fair--so we got them their own slushies--mmmm...

The Brahmin Bull

There was a great tent set up to portray life in Africa--it was cool:) They got to play the drums, carry water jugs, and grind up corn and wheat~

And, we saw some cows. What would afair be without the smelly animals?!

Dalaina milkin' a cow.

Faith milkin' a cow....This here pic was funny. As we were walking, all of the cows were brown or black, even grayish in color. When we came to Bessie here, Faith said "Mom, look a real cow!!"

I guess to a child, if you are not white with black dots, you are not real?

We also had some fun in this fun house. Dalaina flew down the slide. Faith walked into a plexi wall! It was great:)

And we ended the day with some cotton candy of course!

mm..mm...good!

And then, it was time to walk about four blocks up a gentle grade to get back to our van---

DAD did all of the work~!

Rainier in the summer

We took a day trip(back in August-yah, I'm slow) back to Mt Rainier to see it in the summer---and it is as beautiful without the snow!!!

We passed this adorable little church. Of course, we stopped and got out to take a peak at it. This chirch is still actually in use!

It seats about 50people.

It made me want to get remarried:)

We didn't get to see this our first trip because the wind had blown snow all over it!

We enjoyed the scenery and the weather together:)

It was very green, and just peaceful.
