Warm and Fuzzy

Well, I learned to crochet from my Grandmother when I was in eighth grade I think.  And, I learned to knit in high school.  Pre-children, I made alot of afghans, blankets, scarves, etc.  I also made each of my daughters a blanket before they were born, which they still use:)  Since then, nada!

....UNTIL NOW

I got my basket with yarn and needles and am ready to go:)  A group of ladies got together last night, myself included, and did some crocheting and knitting.  So, I relearned some knitting basics.  It was fun:)

Then, today while Faith was at an activity, I sat and crocheted----a hat!!  It took a total of 1 1/2 hours:)

                                           Voila~~  my second hat ever!

uh, horrible picture, but you get the idea of the hat I hope:)

Ta~da!

Faith has been working toward completing a phonics poster for a few months now.  The end prize was that she got to pick out a new dress!  Well, she finished the poster Thursday and dad took girls shopping on Friday while I was at work:)
I came home to see the beautiful dresses~~~~ along with little girls who were very excited to wear them to church on Sunday!  The dresses are beautiful, spring dresses.  Dad didn't let them try them on either!
So, I had to be the one to tell them that 40degree, winter weather was not appropriate:(
....As a girl, I know what it's like to have new clothes and just want to wear them.  So, on Saturday, I surprised them by allowing them to twirl around the house in their new dresses:)

Oh happy day!  They were smiling, and giggling, and twirling, and dancing for about an hour!!!!!!  They did ballet and danced for the camera....

HAPPY GIRLY GIRLS!!!!!!!!!!!!!...the dresses are now at rest on hangers in the closet until appropriate weather:)

We MOVED.....again!!

Oh,  more packing and unpacking!  Just when I thought we were settled, time to move again. Hmmm, lets do a quick count here, 08, 09, 10, and 2011---that's 4 moves in 4years!!!!!!!
We have been searching for a while for a good house in a great neighborhood but never seemed to find~ the house~
Well, the timing was perfect and the house is too!  We moved a mile to the other side of town-where we don't have to phone the police weekly:)

We can walk to the market, video store, pizza shop, burger place, etc.  It is a great spot!
The girls just love it:)  The 2nd day here, they took some packing styrofoam outside and pretended to be artists....doodling the landscape and stuff!

They love that we now get sunshine and that we have a picket fence around the yard. NOW, we are staying put.....until we build or buy:)

LOVE MAIL

I saw this idea on another's blog (thanks Holly) and I loved it.  So, we each have a mailbox.  There is a stack of paper and a pencil near them.  These boxes are for us to write proud moments, bible verses, thank you's, love notes....anything positive!!!

Then, each night at dinner, everyone opens their mail--if the flags up--and reads the notes!  The girls are loving it~~

Our Girls

We finished school at the lake today and then hung around playing and exploring for 3 hours!  They had a lot of fun and I am sure that they will sleep tonight:)

Psalm 23

Over the summer, I was inspired in multiple ways to teach my children Psalm 23.  I found an amazing curriculum for them at a teaching convention and worked it into their curriculum.  We began learning Psalm 23 2months ago.  It is broken up into weekly sessions so that they retain the info.  Anyway, Dalaina is amazing.  She retains the information so well:)  I captured her on film reciting what she had learned thus far--here it is:

I just want to point out that children are never to young to learn scripture verses!!!
