You've been warned
We took a 2hr drive to north of Seattle to Mt Vernon. The 26th annual tulip festival!
When I told the girls, they asked if we were going to dress up like tulips? hahahaha
We saw tulips of every kind, shape, size, and color! And oh my gosh, have you ever unleashed 2 toddler girls in a field or garden of tulips!!!!
Dalaina sniffed every color of tulip! Every color!
They were so excited---and of course they wanted to pick them (which was a big No-no)
I had never seen so many colors and types of tulips---I just couldn't stop taking pictures!!
These purple ones were very pretty and smelled great!
I took over 100 pictures, but don't worry-there not all on here!. Just the good ones:)
You would think that this would be a great photo op for the girls--however, a 2hr car ride, plus 2hrs in traffic and then unleashing them into a field of tulips=hyper active girls!!!!!
They plant over 300,00 bulbs each year!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Just fields of them---it looked like blankets from far away---and of course, cameras just don't do it justice:)
It was breath taking and the beautiful day was perfect!
You weren't allowed to walk down the rows in between because they had planted peas, but we snuck a few picks--naughty I know! (And these are the examples we set for our children!! )
We were actually unaware of that rule and were half way down a row when we heard the yelling from the flagging man---he was shouting at us! However, when there are a ton of people around, it's hard to know that you are THE ONE the shouting is for! And, there were no signs about where to walk where we were....anyway......
