Petrified Forest

While Grandma was in town, we took a drive to the Petrified Forest.  Who new that right ehre was the forest that contains the largest petrified wood in the country!

                                                       A tree grew out of the fallen tree!

                                           This tree was 100feet long and I think 8 feet round

What an amazingly awesome tree---you could build a house in it!

This is what the petrified wood looks like when you remove the bark --beautiful, smooth, and multicolored!
