Every time I asked the girls if they were ready to cut and carve their pumpkins they whiningly answered nooooo! They didn't want to cut what they had painted!
Well, the other day, I had grandma ask them and explain it while I was at work---grandmas have magical ways!!!!!!!! Of course they said yes. Grandma cut the tops off and they dug out all of the goop and seeds.
The magic must have been that they could wear their leotards and sit on the table--I guess!!! Anway, I came home from work to washed, cut open tops and empty pumpkins:)
They both told me what to cut- Their initial wishes were drawn on paper--princesses and hearts?! So, after some explaining about that, we progressed to shapes for faces:)
And this is what we came up with>>>>diamonds, triangles, crescents, etc.
The best part was placing the tea lite and lighting them! They giggled so loud and had the biggest smiles ever!!!
And then, after some explaining about why they couldn't have their lit pumpkins in their room they headed off to bed!
