The girls were coloring the other day and I saw all of the pieces of crayon bits in their boxes and a lightbulb went off!!!
Project make crayons commensed!
First, I had the girls each peel all of their broken bits and put them in a bowl--that was tedious!
We also then had to pick the wax out from under their nails---even more fun!
Then, slap a few cupcake wrappers into the muffin pan...
...and strategically place the crayons. It was a "color" lesson:) Put in oven, bake, remove, cool, and peel out! VOILA!!!!!!!!
They each made 6 new crayons:)
Then, came the fun----coloring with them!!
....or scribbling, whichever!
They really enjoyed this! Plus, they learned about color mixing and recycling old bits!
